Hi

Ive just started getting problems with the wire feed tube not reaching its correct position due to the pneumatic plunger popping out to early
but I have discovered that this only happens firstly when reading the AWT commmands in a program and not when threading manually with the switch and secondly when the watertank is filled above the table height

(ps A tempory solution i have found is to set AWT to Oil to 30 secs so as to drain the tank to below the table)

Thanks for reading.

I'll assume that you have either an A320, A300, or a BF275 MK21. I believe these are the only machines with the pneumatic cylinder. This problem occurs when the control thinks that the awt pipe has reached it's lower limit. This can happen if 1.) your water resistivity is too low ( below 3 on your resistivity meter). 2.) If you have a RS232 connection plugged to the machine without an optical isolator. 3.) If the G03 connection is shorted to ground.
Your problem seems to be that the water resistivity is too low. Sodick recomends a setting of between 5 to 10 on your resistivity meter. Your parts will also rust less with a setting of 10.
