Have a Sodick A320D w/ Mark 25 controls. DI Resin is only lasting about 50 hours. We used to get about 250 hours on it. We currently use HF25A filters with 2 prefilters. The filters are new. Have recently cleaned the DI Tank and work tank, and flushed system, still didn't help. 90% of the work done on machine is cutting carbide tooling. Any suggestions?

1.) What type of resin are you buying? A 60/40 grade of virgin resin is best. If you are using regenerated resin, the life is much shorter. You may want to try ordering Sodick resin to test this out.
2.) What chemicals are you using to clean your work-tank? Many cleaners are acid based and will shorten your resin life.
3.) Where is your resistivity set? We recomend it be set at 5-10. If it is set higher, for carbide cutting, this will of course shorten the life of the resin.
4.) Is dirty water getting into the DI bottle? Dirt will reduce the beads effectiveness.

1. Sodick Golden Resin (new not regenerated).
2. Sno-Bol; after tank was cleaned it was rinsed with water and baking soda.
3. 5 - 10
4. Doesn't seem any different than before.
